Problem: Major Low Rh Requirement for Betalactum Plant.
Observations: Client and consultant had considered Chilled Water (CHW) at 7 deg C in Plant and 15 Dehumidifiers to bring down the RH to 15% from 50%.
Solution: Trans Tech has suggested use of Brine at 3 deg C instead of CHW. So, reduction had to be done from just 35% RH to 15% RH. This was suggested before the project execution and procurement has started and commissioned along with the rest of the project.
Savings: The savings in the running costs on a yearly basis were 34% (2.15 Cr INR) for the client without any increases in Capital Cost
Problem: Sugar Syrup Solution vapour was spreading all over the plant becoming very difficult to clean and blocking the Air path for conditioning the air. This was also resulting in very difficult working conditions for the workers in this area.
Observations: It was observed that unless the vapour was isolated and removed the problem would persist.
Solution: Trans Tech has constructed multiple Chimneys with a special baffle tray design for each of the Boilers where sugar syrup vapour was being formed and it was designed in such a way that the syrup vapour was first isolated and then the condensate drained out so that the air path was clear.
Savings: This has resulted in a clean working environment for the workers and reduced the downtime since frequent shutdowns to clean the area were avoided.
